Koren W. Wong-Ervin

Koren Wong-Ervin is a partner at Jones Day and a senior fellow at the George Washington University Competition & Innovation Lab. Her primary areas of expertise include antitrust, intellectual property, international competition policy, and law & economics.

She also serves as technology officer of the American Bar Association’s Antitrust Law Section and holds academic and advisory roles with leading international institutions.

Previously, she was a partner at Axinn, Veltrop & Harkrider, where she advised on high-stakes antitrust litigation and merger investigations. Before that, she was director of antitrust policy and litigation at Qualcomm, where she led global strategy on competition matters and gained in-house experience advising on complex regulatory and litigation issues.

Earlier, she was director of the Global Antitrust Institute and an adjunct professor of law at George Mason University’s Antonin Scalia Law School. She also served at the Federal Trade Commission as attorney advisor to a commissioner and as counsel for intellectual-property and international antitrust matters.

Earlier in her career, she practiced at Wilson Sonsini Goodrich & Rosati, Milberg Phillips Grossman, and Heller Ehrman, representing clients in antitrust and consumer-protection litigation, and clerked for a judge on the 9th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals.

She earned a J.D., magna cum laude, from the University of California College of the Law, San Francisco, where she was elected to the Order of the Coif, and a bachelor’s, magna cum laude, from Santa Clara University.
