Giuseppe Colangelo

Senior Scholar, Competition Policy

Giuseppe Colangelo serves as a senior scholar of competition policy at the International Center for Law & Economics. His research focuses on competition law and policy, market regulation, innovation policy, intellectual property, multi-sided platforms, and the economic analysis of law.

He is also a professor of competition law and economics at the University of Basilicata, where he holds the Jean Monnet Chair in European Innovation Policy. In addition, he is a fellow at the Transatlantic Technology Law Forum at Stanford University and serves as scientific coordinator of the Research Network for Digital Ecosystem, Economic Policy, and Innovation.

Previously, Colangelo served as a Fernand Braudel Senior Fellow at the European University Institute. He also held adjunct professorships in markets, regulation, and law at Luiss University and in legal issues in marketing at Bocconi University. Earlier in his academic career, he was an assistant professor of comparative law at the University of Basilicata.

He earned a Ph.D. in law and economics from Luiss University, an LL.M. in competition law and economics from Erasmus University Rotterdam, and an LL.M. from Luiss University.
