David Bosco

David Bosco is a professor of competition law and European law at Aix-Marseille University, director of the university’s Center for Economic Law, and a senior fellow at the University of California, Berkeley.

He also serves as an external consultant to a law firm, where he advises on private-law matters with a focus on commercial, banking, and financial law. His primary areas of expertise include antitrust, merger control, business law, and law & economics.

He also is editor of the “Trends” section of Concurrences and a member of the journal’s scientific committee. He frequently speaks at international conferences and has authored several books, including “European Competition Law” and “Challenges to the Assumptions at the Basis of Competition Law.”

Previously, he served as director of the Institute of Business Law at Aix-Marseille University. Before that, he was a professor at Nice Sophia-Antipolis University. Earlier in his career, he was a lecturer at Université Paul Cézanne. He also was appointed an associated member of Monaco’s Senior Legal Studies Committee by Prince Albert II.

He earned a Ph.D. in law and a master’s in private law from Aix-Marseille University.
