Perspectives on Industrial Policy: An Interview with Reiko Aoki

This post features a Truth on the Market interview with Reiko Aoki, a commissioner of the Japan Fair Trade Commission (JFTC), president of the Japan Economic Association, and a former executive vice president at Kyushu University. She has researched the economics of patents, patent pools, standards, innovation, and intergenerational political economy. She has also been actively involved in science, technology, and innovation policy as an executive member of the Japanese Cabinet Office’s Council for Science and Technology Policy from 2009 to 2014.
