Vincent J. Geloso

Vincent J. Geloso is an assistant professor of economics at George Mason University.
His research focuses on economic history, political economy, population economics, and the historical measurement of living standards. Much of his work examines why living standards differ across places and over time, with particular attention to Canada and Quebec. He is the author of “Rethinking Canadian Economic Growth and Development Since 1900.”
Before joining George Mason University, Geloso was an assistant professor of economics at Bates College and King’s University College. Earlier, he was a postdoctoral fellow at Texas Tech University.
Geloso earned a Ph.D. in economic history and a master’s in economics from the London School of Economics and Political Science. He also earned a bachelor’s from the University of Montreal.
