Patrice Bougette
Patrice Bougette is a professor of economics at Université Côte d’Azur and a researcher at the French National Centre for Scientific Research’s Research Group in Law, Economics and Management (GREDEG). He is also deputy director for pedagogy and digital transformation at the university’s Graduate School of Economics and Management.
His research focuses on industrial organization, competition policy, market regulation, and law & economics, with particular emphasis on transportation and digital platforms. He co-coordinates GREDEG’s Competition, Public Policies, and Sector Regulation research group, which studies market power, firm behavior, regulation, and public-policy design.
Bougette serves on the editorial board of the Revue d’économie industrielle and the board of the French Association of Law and Economics. He is also the founder and editor of the GREDEG Working Papers series.
Bougette earned a Ph.D. in economics from the University of Montpellier and a Habilitation à diriger des recherches (HDR), qualifying him to supervise doctoral research, from Université Côte d’Azur.
