Eric Seufert is general partner at Heracles Capital and an analyst at Heracles Media. He also advises companies including Unity and Discord on mobile advertising and platform strategy. His primary areas of expertise include mobile advertising, digital platforms, monetization, marketing analytics, and law & economics.

He also writes and publishes Mobile Dev Memo, a leading industry blog on mobile advertising and freemium monetization, and hosts a related podcast. He is the author of “Freemium Economics” and the creator of Theseus, an open-source library for marketing-cohort analysis.

Previously, he founded Agamemnon, a mobile-marketing analytics platform that was acquired by N3TWORK, where he later led development of a programmatic mobile-advertising and analytics platform.

Before that, he was vice president of user-acquisition marketing at Rovio, where he led growth strategy for major products, including “Angry Birds 2,” and supported marketing for the “Angry Birds” film.

Earlier, he was head of marketing at Wooga and held senior roles in marketing, analytics, and business intelligence at Grey Area and Digital Chocolate. He began his career as a metrics analyst at Skype and later worked in strategy at uShip.

Seufert earned a bachelor’s in finance from the University of Texas at Austin and a master’s in applied economics from University College London. He is also pursuing a master’s in applied computation at Harvard University.
