Nathan Wilson
Nathan Wilson is a founding partner at Econic Partners. His work focuses on applying economic theory and econometric methods to antitrust and competition questions, including matters involving health care, technology, telecommunications, agriculture, financial services, industrial chemicals, and consumer products.
He also serves as a senior editor of the Antitrust Law Journal.
Wilson previously served as an executive vice president at Compass Lexecon.
Earlier in his career, he worked at the Federal Trade Commission, where he served as deputy assistant director in the Bureau of Economics, acting deputy assistant director, economic advisor to Commissioner Terrell McSweeny, and a staff economist.
Wilson has also held academic appointments as an adjunct professor of applied economics at Johns Hopkins University and the University of Maryland. Earlier, he worked as a presidential management fellow at the U.S. Department of Energy and as an intern at the U.S. Treasury Department.
His honors include the FTC’s Janet D. Steiger Award for contributions to several major trial teams, the FTC Award for Outstanding Scholarship, and the Francis Walker Award for outstanding economic contributions to the FTC.
Wilson earned a Ph.D. in business economics from the Ross School of Business at the University of Michigan, a master’s in global history from the London School of Economics and Political Science, and a bachelor’s from Brown University.
