Jeremy Sandford
Jeremy Sandford is a partner at Econic Partners LLC. His research focuses on antitrust economics, industrial organization, and applied microeconomics.
He previously served as an executive vice president at Compass Lexecon and as an adjunct professor at Johns Hopkins University.
Earlier in his career, Sandford worked as an economist at the Federal Trade Commission and as an economic advisor to Commissioner Christine Wilson. As Commissioner Wilson’s economic advisor, he worked on most antitrust matters before the commission and contributed to the development of the 2020 Vertical Merger Guidelines.
Before joining the FTC, Sandford served as an assistant professor at the University of Kentucky, where he taught Ph.D.- and undergraduate-level courses on industrial organization, microeconomic theory, statistics, and the economics of crime.
Earlier in his career, he worked as a research intern in the Antitrust Division of the U.S. Department of Justice.
He earned a Ph.D. in economics from the University of Wisconsin–Madison and a bachelor’s from Illinois Wesleyan University.
