May Hen is a Leverhulme Trust early-career researcher at the University of Cambridge.
Her research focuses on fiscal sociology, tax, decentralized finance, blockchain, cryptocurrencies, digital assets, offshore finance, and regulation of the digital economy. Her current work examines how technology companies navigate tax and regulatory systems, the governance of new forms of money and payment, and the career experiences of women in offshore and metropolitan financial centers.
Hen is a co-editor of “Tax, Public Finance, and the Rule of Law” and the forthcoming “Translating Tax Policy into Law: Legislation and Beyond.
She earned a Ph.D. in sociology from the University of Cambridge and a master’s in communication from Simon Fraser University. She also earned a bachelor’s from Simon Fraser University.
