Alba Ribera Martínez

Alba Ribera Martinez is a PhD student in competition law at University Carlos III of Madrid and a lecturer in competition law at Universidad Villanueva.

In addition, she is an editor of the Surveys section of Oxford University Press’ Journal of European Competition Law & Practice (JECLAP); a monthly columnist in CentroCompetencia UAI’s Editorials project; and a deputy editor of  Wolters Kluwer’s Kluwer Competition Law Blog.

She previously worked at Spain’s Comisión Nacional de los Mercados y la Competencia (CNMC) as an assistant researcher to the council, with experience in the Competition Directorate and the Chief of Staff’s Office.

Alba received her bachelors in laws, with high honors, from Universitat Jaume I and her masters from Universidad Autónoma de Madrid. She did postgraduate work in competition law at the Universidad Carlos III de Madrid and completed the short course in EU competition law at The London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE).
