Steven Semeraro

Steven Semeraro is a visiting professor of law at UC Irvine Law School and the Associate Dean of Academic Affairs and a professor of law at Thomas Jefferson School of Law in San Diego, CA. He specializes in antitrust, criminal law, and federal litigation.

Professor Semeraro joined the TJSL faculty in 1999, became Associate Dean in 2002 and returned to the general faculty in 2007. After graduating from Stanford Law School, he clerked for the Honorable Stephanie K. Seymour, United States Court of Appeals for the Tenth Circuit, and then practiced with a private firm in Washington, D.C. In 1994, he joined the United States Department of Justice, Antitrust Division, where he led civil antitrust investigations of the optical disc and credit card industries. In 1996, he served as a Special Assistant United States Attorney in the Eastern Division of Virginia, prosecuting criminal cases.
