Satya Marar

Satya Marar is a research fellow at the Mercatus Center at George Mason University and an AI and competition fellow with the Innovators Network.

His research focuses on antitrust and competition policy, intellectual property, trade, and technology policy, as well as innovation and governance.

Before becoming a research fellow, Marar served as an M.A. fellow at the Mercatus Center, conducting research on industrial policy, competition regulation, and emerging-technology governance. Earlier, he was a policy analyst at the Reason Foundation and director of policy at the Australian Taxpayers’ Alliance, where he worked on law-reform proposals and public-policy advocacy.

He also worked as a research associate with the Centre for Independent Studies and earlier held legal roles, including as a law clerk at Peerzada & Associates and positions with community legal organizations.

He earned a master’s in economics from George Mason University and a bachelor of laws, with honors, from Macquarie University. He is also pursuing an LL.M. in U.S. law at George Mason University.
