Nur Lalji

Nur Lalji is an associate with Orrick Herrington & Sutcliffe LLP. She advises clients on complex and novel global privacy issues. She regularly advises clients on privacy policies and data processing agreements, helps them create and implement comprehensive privacy programs, and guides them on state, federal and global privacy laws.

Nur’s work includes counseling on compliance with the growing patchwork of privacy laws, including the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), the California Privacy Rights Act (CPRA), and Europe’s General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), as well as drafting and negotiating data-related vendor contracts.

Prior to Orrick, Nur was an Associate Privacy Counsel at a large media company, where she worked closely with internal business teams in order to provide them with actionable guidance. She brings this in-house approach to her client matters. During law school, Nur was the Senior Legal News Editor for the Georgetown Law Technology Review. She also served as a Research Assistant at the Georgetown Center on Privacy and Technology.
