Janice Hauge

Professor of Economics, University of North Texas

Janice Hauge is a Professor, Associate Department Chair, and Director of Graduate Admissions in the Department of Economics at the University of North Texas. She received her doctorate from the University of Florida. Prior to attending the University of Florida, she earned a MSc degree from the London School of Economics, and a BA double-majoring in American Studies and Economics at Hamilton College in New York.

Her research focuses on industrial organization, regulation, and telecommunications and broadband policy more specifically. Currently, this work centers on empirical analyses of the effectiveness of broadband policies and initiatives both within the US and internationally. Other divergent research focuses on energy policy and regulation, analyses of regulatory independence in the US, and antitrust.
