Johannes Holzwarth
Case Handler
Johannes Holzwarth is Case Handler in DG COMP’s Unit B1 (Antitrust: Energy, Environment). Previously, he was Policy Officer in Unit A1 (Antitrust case support and policy) and Unit A4 (European Competition Network and Private Enforcement). He is one of the co-authors of the DG COMP policy brief on Article 102 TFEU and involved in the guidelines initiative. Before joining the European Commission, Johannes advised companies on competition law matters as an attorney at a German law firm. He received a Doctorate degree in law (Dr. iur.) from the University of Münster (Germany) and was awarded a Master of Laws degree (LL.M.) from the University of Chicago (USA).
