Daniel Lyons

Daniel Lyons is a professor of law, associate dean for academic affairs, and the Dean’s Distinguished Scholar at Boston College Law School, and an academic affiliate of the International Center for Law & Economics. He is also a nonresident senior fellow at the American Enterprise Institute.

His research focuses on property, telecommunications and internet law, and administrative law.

Before joining the Boston College faculty, Lyons practiced law in Los Angeles at Munger, Tolles & Olson and Gibson, Dunn & Crutcher. Earlier in his career, he worked as an associate consultant at Bain & Company and clerked for Judge Cynthia Holcomb Hall of the 9th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals.

He earned a J.D., magna cum laude, from Harvard Law School, where he was an editor of the Harvard Law Review, and a bachelor’s from Harvard College.
