Corbin K. Barthold

Corbin K. Barthold is internet policy counsel and director of appellate litigation at TechFreedom.

His work focuses on administrative law, separation of powers, antitrust, and technology policy, particularly in appellate litigation and regulatory disputes. He also serves as a member of TikTok’s U.S. Content Advisory Council.

Before joining TechFreedom, Barthold was senior litigation counsel at the Washington Legal Foundation, a public-interest legal organization, where he handled appeals involving administrative law and competition policy. Earlier, he practiced complex civil litigation as an associate and later a partner at Browne George Ross LLP.

He began his legal career clerking for Judge Robert H. Cleland of the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Michigan and Judge Steven D. Merryday of the U.S. District Court for the Middle District of Florida.

His distinctions include a law & economics fellowship at the University of California, Berkeley School of Law and designation as a graduate merit scholar at the London School of Economics.

Barthold earned a J.D. from the University of California, Berkeley School of Law, a master’s from the London School of Economics, and a bachelor’s from the University of California, San Diego.
