Ainhoa Veiga is a partner at Araoz & Rueda in Madrid, where she specializes in Spanish and European Union competition law.
Veiga advises clients in proceedings before Spanish and EU competition authorities and represents them in competition-related litigation before administrative and commercial courts. Her practice also covers mergers and acquisitions, intellectual property, unfair competition, and corporate and commercial disputes.
Veiga joined Araoz & Rueda as an associate in 1998 and became a partner in 2005. She regularly teaches and speaks on competition, intellectual property, and international commercial law and has written on competition, intellectual property, and corporate law. She has been recognized for her competition and antitrust practice by Chambers and The Legal 500 and was named to Iberian Lawyer’s InspiraLaw Top 50 Women list in 2018.
Veiga earned an LL.M. from the University of Georgia School of Law and an LL.M. in European law from Vrije Universiteit Brussel. She also earned a certificate in advanced European studies from Robert Schuman University in Strasbourg and a law degree from the Autonomous University of Madrid.
