Annika Steiber

Annika Steiber is a senior fellow at the Berkeley Policy Institute. Her research focuses on innovation management, dynamic capabilities, and organizational leadership in a fast-changing technological era, with an emphasis on AI-enabled, human-centered management systems.
She is a board member of the American Network for Innovation Inc. and an expert in ISO/TC 279 on innovation management. She is also the chief executive officer of Management Insights, an advisory and research firm focused on management excellence, innovation management, business transformation, and startup scaling. She founded and directs the RenDanHeYi Silicon Valley Research Center.
Previously, she served as senior director of innovation partnerships and professor at Menlo College, where she established a research center focused on innovation and digital transformation, built industry partnerships, and developed executive-education programs. She also served as managing director at Berkeley Research Group LLC, working with Fortune 1000 firms on business-transformation strategies and corporate innovation initiatives. During that time, she was also an adjunct professor at Santa Clara University, where she developed and taught an MBA course on innovation.
Earlier in her career, she held senior leadership roles across marketing, strategy, and business development at Ocean Observations, Advokatfirman Cederquist, XLENT, Openwave Systems, and Telia, where she led corporate-strategy initiatives, drove business growth, and built organizational capabilities. She also worked as a senior management consultant at Kearney and as a management consultant at Accenture, advising C-suite leaders on strategy and transformation.
She has authored or co-authored numerous books on innovation and management, along with more than 60 research papers.
Her distinctions include contributing to global innovation-management standards through ISO/TC 279 and being part of a firm recognized on Forbes’ list of the world’s best management-consulting firms.
She holds a Ph.D. in innovation management and organization and a master’s in industrial engineering and marketing, both from Chalmers University of Technology.
