Annika Steiber

Annika Steiber is a senior fellow at the Berkeley Policy Institute and founder and CEO of Management Insights, an advisory and research firm focused on innovation management, business transformation, and startup scaling. She is also founding director of the RenDanHeYi Silicon Valley Research Center.
Her research focuses on innovation management, dynamic capabilities, organizational leadership, and the development of human-centered management systems for an era of rapid technological change, including artificial intelligence.
Steiber serves on the board of the American Network for Innovation and as an expert on innovation management with the International Organization for Standardization’s Technical Committee 279. She previously was senior director of innovation partnerships and a professor at Menlo College and managing director at Berkeley Research Group. She also taught at Santa Clara University.
Earlier in her career, Steiber held senior strategy, marketing, and business-development positions at several technology and professional-services firms, including Ocean Observations, Cederquist, XLENT, Openwave Systems, and Telia. She previously worked as a management consultant at Kearney and Accenture.
Steiber has authored numerous books on management and innovation, including “The Google Model,” “The Silicon Valley Model,” “Management for the Digital Age,” and “Leadership for the Digital World.”
Steiber earned a Ph.D. in innovation management and organization and a master’s in industrial engineering and marketing from Chalmers University of Technology.
