Antonio Robles Martín-Laborda is a professor of commercial law at Universidad Carlos III de Madrid and director of the university’s Expert Diploma in Competition Law.
His research focuses on competition law, commercial law, market regulation, arbitration, and the relationship between private law and market organization. He is co-director of the university’s consolidated research group on Freedom and Regulation—Law and Private Will in the Shaping of Markets.
Robles Martín-Laborda previously served as director of the European Documentation Center, director of the Postgraduate School of Law, and vice dean of the Faculty of Social and Legal Sciences at Universidad Carlos III de Madrid. He also served as president of the Academic Network for Competition Law and is an arbitrator with the Latin American Center for Arbitration and Mediation. He has practiced competition, corporate, commercial-contract, and arbitration law as a member of the Madrid Bar Association.
His books include “The Fight Against Restrictions of Competition: Sanctions and Remedies in Spanish Law” and edited volumes on the digital economy and competition law.
Robles Martín-Laborda earned a Ph.D. in law, with an extraordinary doctorate award, and a master’s in European Union law, with distinction, from Universidad Carlos III de Madrid. He has also completed executive training in international commercial arbitration.
