promoting the use of law & economics methodologies
About L&E Programs
ICLE has developed a program to grow the community of scholars and work grounded in the essential tradition of law & economics — supporting the development of a next generation of law & economics scholars and welcoming them into the law & economics community. This is the tradition developed by pioneers like Nobel Laureates Ronald Coase, George Stigler, Gary Becker, Douglass North, Oliver Williamson, and Vernon Smith, as well as those of great scholars and teachers like Harold Demsetz, Benjamin Klein, Armen Alchian, Frank Easterbrook, Henry Manne, Richard Epstein, and others.
Why L&E?
Why Law & Economics?
ICLE is working to preserve the legacy of the Law & Economics movement. We are documenting the early history of the movement and sharing this legacy with a new generation of scholars.
