Katherine Litvak

Katherine Litvak is a professor of law at Northwestern University Pritzker School of Law and an academic affiliate of the International Center for Law & Economics.

Her research focuses on venture capital, private equity, corporate and securities law, and corporate finance. She has also held the Benjamin Mazur Summer Research Professorship of Law at Northwestern University.

Before joining Northwestern, Litvak served as an assistant professor at the University of Texas School of Law. She was previously a John M. Olin Fellow in Law & Economics at Columbia Law School. Earlier in her career, she clerked for Judge Frank H. Easterbrook of the 7th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals and Judge Ralph K. Winter of the 2nd U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals.

Litvak earned a J.D. from Stanford Law School, a master’s in international relations from Harvard University, and a bachelor’s from the University of California, Los Angeles.
