Ben Sperry
Senior Scholar, Innovation Policy
Ben Sperry is senior scholar of innovation policy at the International Center for Law & Economics. His research focuses on the intersection of civil liberties and government regulation, including in the areas of online speech, platform regulation, competition policy, payment-card regulation, telecommunications, and criminal-justice reform.
Ben has also worked as an assistant public defender in the Crawford County (Pa.) Office of the Public Defender, a judicial law clerk in the Erie County (Pa.) Court of Common Pleas, a legal fellow at TechFreedom, and a research associate and Google Policy Fellow at the Competitive Enterprise Institute.
Ben is admitted to practice law in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, the District of Columbia, and the D.C. Circuit Court of Appeals. He received his bachelor’s from Allegheny College and his JD from George Mason University Antonin Scalia School of Law.
