Amir C. Tayrani

Amir C. Tayrani is a partner in Gibson, Dunn, & Crutcher’s Washington, D.C. office. He practices in the firm’s Litigation Department and is a member of the Appellate and Constitutional Law Practice Group and the Administrative Law and Regulatory Practice Group.

He has been recognized twice as an “Appellate Rising Star” by Law360 and, in 2019, was recognized by Benchmark Litigation as a “Future Litigation Star” in Washington, D.C.

He previously served as a judicial clerk to Judge Diarmuid F. O’Scannlain of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 9th Circuit.

Tayrani graduated from the Yale Law School in 2003, where he was executive editor of The Yale Law Journal. He earned his bachelors in political science summa cum laude from California State University, Fullerton.
