R Street Cites Ben Sperry in Testimony on WI App-Store Bill 962
Ben Sperry, ICLE Senior Scholar for Innovation Policy, was cited in a new testimony from R Street Institute opposing WI Assembly Bill 962, which would require app stores to verify users’ ages and obtain parental consent for minors’ app downloads, updates, and purchases. The testimony argues that age-verification mandates for app stores raise serious constitutional, privacy, and security concerns and weaken existing market-based parental-control tools.
