ICLE Research Cited in New University on EU Google Fine Under Digital Markets Act
The UC Irvine student newspaper New University cited ICLE research in a piece on the European Commission’s fine against Google for violations of the Digital Markets Act. The article drew on ICLE’s analysis of self-preferencing by digital platforms, referencing ICLE findings that empirical studies have not identified systematic consumer harm from a company favoring its own services.
