CQ Tech – ICLE President Geoffrey Manne was quoted in the CQ Tech newsletter in an item about President Joe Biden’s appointments to key antitrust positions. You can read the full piece (behind a subscriber firewall) here.

“Through the realpolitik lens, the Biden administration has, like all administrations, a bigger tent that it would probably like, especially with the Elizabeth Warren wing of the party,” said Geoffrey Manne, president of the International Center for Law and Economics, which advocates limited antitrust regulation of digital platforms. “So you throw them a few bones.”

Then, Manne said, “You look at who Biden’s going to appoint for FTC chair and head of the antitrust division at DOJ, and that’s going to really tell you where he stands.”
